Eko, the company pioneering interactive live action storytelling, today announced #COIN, a contest to give away $250,000 to consumers. Participants can earn #COIN by engaging with Eko’s interactive series, #WarGames. Based on MGM’s Academy Award nominated film, #WarGames puts viewers in the middle of a tale of hacktivism and modern-day espionage, allowing them to shape the story as it unfolds. With #COIN, viewers “hack” their way through the interactive series by answering questions placed at key points in the story, to win Walmart in-store and online credit. #COIN is available exclusively by viewing “#WarGames” on goeko.co/coin, and is free to play.
The #COIN campaign is made possible by the deep engagement, personalization and choice offered in interactive storytelling. In #WarGames, viewers make choices throughout the series that affect how the story unfolds for them. #COIN is layered on top of the experience and allows viewers to engage with the series and win e-gift cards redeemable for Walmart merchandise.
#COIN may be earned by correctly answering trivia questions placed throughout the show and by inviting friends. The top player will win a $3,000 e-gift card, with Walmart giving away $250,000 in total to the best 15,000 players. Once the contest concludes, winners can use their Walmart egift cards for any product at Walmart or Walmart.com.
